Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge doesn't open until 2019, but that doesn't mean you have to wait for another year to have a galactic adventure on a Disney vacation. From attractions to character encounters to themed cruises, the Star Wars lover's dream vacation can be a reality today.
Walt Disney World® and Disneyland®
Disney's Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World® and Disneyland Park in Disneyland® are the places to be if you want to experience Star Wars in the parks. Home to the future Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Park are currently home to Star Wars fun for the whole family of Jedis, including attractions, character meet and greets, and special experiences for young Padawans.
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple is a fun, interactive show performed several times throughout the day. Padawans ages 4-12 can sign up to participate in the show Spots are in high-demand and I recommend you check out this post for our more information about the show and our tips for securing a coveted spot.

The Star Wars Launch Bay is a great place to cool off and spend time immersing yourself in all things Star Wars. You can check out props and costumes from the movies, wander around sets recreated for the attraction, and view a documentary about the creative team behind Star Wars. One of my favorite parts of this attraction are the character encounters. At Hollywood Studios, you can meet Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, and even everyone's favorite orange droid, BB-8! AT Disneyland Park, you can meet Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, Darth Vader, and Rey!

One of my favorite attractions in the parks is Star Tours - The Adventure Continues. This 3D, motion-simulated space flight takes you to some of the most famous destinations in the Star Wars universe. You'll board the Starspeeder 1000 with a well-known droid as your captain as you fly throughout the galaxy, encountering obstacles and characters throughout your journey. This attraction can be found at both Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Park's Tomorrowland.
Ever dream of coming face-to-face with a Stormtrooper? You can at both Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Park. Multiple times throughout the day, Captain Phasma leads the March of the First Order through the park. Be sure to check your My Disney Experience or Disneyland app for showtimes. Stormtroopers can also often be found wandering outside the Star Wars Launch Bay and interacting with guests.

There are a few Star Wars experiences unique to Walt Disney World®. One is Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away, a live stage show performed several times a day. Watch as some of your favorite characters, including Rey, Darth Maul, and more recreate iconic scenes from the beloved movies. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular is a nightly fireworks and projection show unique to Disney's Hollywood Studios that I can say from first-hand experience is incredible. This is a must do for any Star Wars fan.

One more Star Wars experience unique to Hollywood Studios is Star Wars: Galactic Nights, a special one-night-only ticketed event that is happening in less than two weeks on May 26, 2018. Rumor has it that a member of the MousePros family will be there with a promise to report back here on the blog about her visit. This event includes even more character encounters, special guest panels, and more exciting Star Wars experiences that happen only at this event.
Disney Cruise Line®
If the sea is more your speed, then Disney Cruise Line® has you covered. Star Wars Day at Sea is an epic adventure for the whole family. This post gives you all the details you need to know before embarking on this galactic cruise. The 2018 sailings have come and gone, but 2019 itineraries are open and ready to book.
